Fairytale glamour and Bridal Perfection in a beautiful Welsh Wedding Venue

I recently did a wedding for Hayley a bride I have got to know very well over the years as she is a dancer and Catwalk model at the bridal shows that I do, so she has had her makeup done by me many, many times.

Her wedding was at the very beautiful and picturesque Tyn Dwr Hall in the stunning Welsh town of Llangollen.

It is a very special wedding venue with so many unique and perfect little touches that really make it my new favourite wedding venue.  Often forgotten at many wedding venues who solely do weddings, is the little touches that make the morning perfect and special, because this time is so so special, and having a place where a bride can get ready in comfort with her bridal party around her.  Hotel rooms can be cramped and with a lack of light and table space for wedding prep suppliers to work from, looking for a place to work and with ample electrical sockets, however many venues Tyn Dwr included are now understanding that the morning prep is so very important to a bride and they are installing great dressing rooms, with high seats for the makeup artist with correct lighting and ample plug sockets and lower seats with dressing tables and plug sockets for the hair dressers, with this they have comfy seating areas for bridal party to chill and have a glass or bubbly or two.  Honestly it really is the best.

Hayley’s morning was fantastic with her lovely bridesmaids and her kind, friendly Mum.  She opted for a very natural look on her bridesmaids, with a champagne and taupe tones to match with the bridesmaids gowns which was cream/beige multiway gowns and each girl wore it differently.

For her look she actually moved away from the look I created at trial which was Soft glam smokey eyes with nude lips and she stayed with the soft smokes, but opted for a raspberry red lipstick, the skin was glowing a dewy in place with the use of my one favourite product, Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter.

Her gown I have come across before from the catwalks I have done and a photo-shoot where we used the dress, so I knew that is was going to be an absolute show stopper, it is a Grace Phillips design, she purchased from Penny Grey bridal in Oxton, because she had seen it on the catwalk shows she had done and knew it was the dress for her.  A real princess gown but without heavy embellishment and not needed as the tailoring and cut of this gown is impeccable.  I love simplicity and clean lines and this dress has them in abundance.

These photos I am using in the blog are by the very lovely Sally Joanne Photography, a lovely photographer and the photos are so beautiful, I enjoyed working with her on the morning.

Hairstylist for the morning was a welcome return to working with Samantha Gannon, who has just returned to working weddings after having her Baby.  I do enjoy working with Sam.

So there you have it a beautiful bride an amazing wedding dress, a stunning venue with great facilities for us MUAs, a superb location and great wedding suppliers, so now you know why I absolutely love my job.  I honestly have the best job in the world.
