Matthew O’Brien Fashion Show at Bolesworth Event

Today I have had a lovely day helping out with the Matthew O’Brien Fashion show at the Bolesworth Show Ground in Cheshire.

I met Matthew a couple of months ago when with Kat Hannon Mayo (photographer) we did a shoot in a rape seed field on the Chester to Wrexham Bypass and exciting things are about to happen concerning the image that was taken.  The things you do in the name of fashion.

Matt was such a good laugh to work with and clearly very talented, so when asked to do this show, I jumped at the opportunity.

His clothes are simply exquisite and he certainly knows how to make the most of a woman’s figure, with his attention to detail and flair for tailoring to enhance a woman’s best assets, which is what we all want from our clothes for special occasions and he certainly knows how to make an outfit that will make an entrance.

Today was a luncheon at the event in aid of the Lady Taverner charity and a couple of the models on the catwalk, sat on the committee for the charity.

I was working with Duncan Fisher Hair Designer for the Hair and he always creates great styles for the catwalk and he is always fun to work with.

Makeup was by me of course and I wanted to keep the look very soft and glamourous.  I opted for a colour palette of browns with a mix of copper, golds and burnt orange and achieved this with the Soft Glam palette from Anastasia Beverley Hills and a Morphe Palette,  Her base was using RCMA a favourite of mine and on some of the girls I used Maybelline Fit me base I know its drug store and my kit is usually pretty much high end but I love this base it stands toe to toe with some of the more high end bases I use in my kit.  I added glow and bronze into the skin using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and a Tom Ford bronze cheek tint.  Finally a slick of the liquid lip from Stila Cosmetics it was a burnt orange with a slight shimmer.  I wanted some cohesion from the look but was aware that the girls each had different skin tones so it had to compliment their colouring.

Enjoyable day and loved the looks I created and I look forward to working again with him on Friday evening for a fashion show with a bit more of a Ibiza vibe, so watch this space…..

If you want to know more about my work and how I can help for a wedding or a special occasion, then get intouch.
