It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

A pre Christmas wedding at the beautiful Inglewood Manor in Cheshire

I am a Bridal Makeup Artist and I have been for over 15 years now, in the Cheshire and North Wales area and I really do have an absolute love for a Christmas wedding.

I think the reason I love them so much is there is an opportunity to up the glamour stakes somewhat, also I am an absolute magpie and I am a huge fan of the bling and at Christmas you do tend to see more sparkle.

I headed to a local venue to me and a place I do work from quite a bit and that is Inglewood Manor in Ledsham, Cheshire. It is a beautiful mock Tudor manor house set in magnificent grounds which are perfect for photo opportunities. To set things off on the day it was very snowy, it was the start of the recent cold snap and the grounds were covered in a light dusting of snow, that looks amazing on her photos.

Zoe only booked me 3 weeks before the day and her reason for being apprehensive about booking an MUA was because, when she has had makeup in the past her eyes sting and she then streams and it ruins her makeup. We only had the trial 4 days before the wedding day and I opted against putting any liner too close to waterline as we discovered the issue of streaming eyes happened when liner went there. I used a palette that is creams and completely waterproof once set and applied the powders over the top and it worked, because sometimes powders alone without something sticky to adhere too can get into the eye and irritate and my mission was to negate irritation to her eyes with them being so sensitive.

"Tis the season to be married"

It was a lovely morning full of fun, laughter and chatting excitedly and it was a super early start as tends to happen in the Winter, as the wedding ceremony time tends to be earlier because it goes dark early and for photos people tend to want to the light.

Her dress was so glamourous and gorgeous and from the amazing Bellissima Brides based in Brimstage on the Wirral.

I am sure you will agree the photographs from this blog and wedding are gorgeous and they are courtesy of the amazing Mike from Capture my Day, please do check out this company as they are incredible and super professional and fun to work with.
