3 different makeup looks, 3 models for a shoot at the newest wedding venue in North Wales, Marchwiel Hall

I am Cathryn and I am a Bridal Makeup Artist based in Hawarden near Chester and I cover North Wales and Cheshire mostly. I am also a specialist and expert in Airbrush Makeup.

This week has been an exciting one, with a few weddings, trials, teaching one to one and on Wednesday I headed to the latest and newest wedding venue in North Wales, Marchwiel Hall a few miles outside of Wrexham.

It's a beautiful venue and I am sure it will become a popular one for couples, as it is set on beautiful grounds, with stunning architecture and a light and airy feel throughout.

I was asked to create 3 looks on 3 separate models and here is a run down on the looks I created.

Look 1 - Jess - Relaxed, glowing, natural bridal makeup

This look is possibly one I am most known for, as I am often asked for natural and glowing makeup looks, on my brides to be, so here I was definitely playing to my strengths as a Makeup Artist.

Here are the products used to create this:

Starting with skin preparation I used my favourite duo of Hada Labo Super Hydrator in premium with Embryolisse lait creme concentrate, they are my tried and tested favourites on any makeup that I do.

For her base I wanted luminosity and glow and to add this I always start with Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and I added a couple of drops of my new favourite Daniel Sandler Illuminating glow and I then went over the skin with Airbrush makeup just one layer to even her skin tone and to give the makeup that tinted moisturiser finish.

On her eyes I simply added a wash of bronze tone shadow from my Ethereal palette from Makeup by Mario and the glow in the centre from the Twinkle Tower from by Jordana Ticia Cosmetics.

I am a huge fan of Daniel Sandler and his liquid blush and I used 3 in the creation of this look in shades Hot Totty for Bronzer, luxe and cherish for blush.

For her lips, Jess has very natural pink lips and simply using a clear gloss on her lips and accentuating her cupid bow with a touch of highlight.

Look 2 - Alex - Classic, elegant with a touch of glamour

The brief for this look was all about classic makeup that would not date and I upped the glamour stakes on Alex's makeup and did a darker smoky eye with a spotlight in the centre and a very classic nude lip. This is a look that will not date and will always stand the test of time and a look I have been asked to recreate over the years by many a bride to be.

Products used:

Skin prep using Hada Labo and Embryolisse and for her skin prep I didn't want too much glow on the skin as I wanted to created a fuller cover and a bit more matte.

I used Airbase makeup and this time I applied it in several layers to give a more full coverage finish. This is the beauty of airbrushing and why I use it and this is because I can adapt it to what my customer really wants in both finish and coverage.

For her eye look there was only one palette that was going to give me that classic look and using timeless tones, that are a mix of cooler and a few warmer tones with the Natasha Denona glam palette. I then intensified the lash line using the Made by Mitchell Colour case in neutral and using the brown/black and black shades. I love this palette as it smudges out really nice for that smoky finish and after a while it sets down waterproof.

I did a fairly strong contour on Alex using Elf Halo wand to create this and I have to say this product is the very best contour product as it looks incredible on the skin, it has the right cooler tone for contour and it blends seamlessly. For the blush I went quite blush heavy and high on the cheekbone into the temples for lift and again I used Daniel Sandler Cherish and over that Ambient light palette from hourglass and a touch of the highlight from this too.

For her lip I wanted the perfect nude shade and I will be honest I mixed a few shades in order to get this beautiful shade, so I could not say which ones. Muas often do this and make custom blends.

I loved creating this and I wish I could do more glam looks more often as I really enjoyed this.

Look 3 - Moira - Pinky glowy and modern bride

The last of the model looks for the shoot day was on Moira who is one half of a model couple with her partner Tighe.

This look's brief was to create sometime more modern and I wanted to create something that is very much like the pinky, radiant makeup you see from Charlotte Tilbury and her makeup campaigns.

I started with the skin prep again and I used that duo again of Super Hydrator from Hada Labo and Lait Creme concentrate from Embryolisse. It just creates a perfect canvas for me and it is tried tested and loved by me.

I again used a mix of Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and Daniel Sandler Blosson Illuminating primer to give me that stunning lit from within glow and then I went over with Airbase Airbrush Makeup and this time 2 layer for a medium coverage. So you see from the 3 looks I used it in a way to mimic tinted moisturiser, then to a full coverage and finally I used it in a medium luminous skin finish, its so versatile.

A soft contour again using the Elf Halo wand and Filmstar bronze and glow from Charlotte Tilbury, and the blush picking up on the pinky soft glam and I used Cherub from Daniel Sandler and set with Hourglass Ambient light soft rose shade and highlighter.

Her lip I wanted to go for that stunning dusky rose lip shade that is so popular right now and for this I used my latest favourite in Icon baby by Charlotte Tilbury, it has a lovely finish to it very satin with a wonderful sheen.

I am super excited to see the final photography, video and content creation from the day and I wanted to list every supplier and their role and links if you were looking for these services:
