3 Bridal Makeup looks in one photoshoot
I have been a Bridal Makeup Artist for over 15 years and I am so lucky to get to be involved in some fantastic styled shoots and in early December I was invited to take part in one at Plas Maenan on the road between Conwy and Llanrwst.
It is a beautiful venue and exclusive use, wedding venue nestled in the Conwy Valley in North Wales and the views from the venue are outstanding. The venue is an Edwardian country house, but it has a feel of an Italian Villa and it is very light and bright inside the venue with the large Windows all around flooding the venue with sunlight.
Our model Casey she was to model in 3 scenarios and wearing 3 dresses. Poppy Michelle was creating the hair looks on the shoot and using hair accessories from her own brand The Bridal Bunny.
Look 1
For the 1st look the model was outside and the focus was her in front of the architecture of the property, less close up shots. I tend to on shoots start more natural and then as the shoot progresses up the glamour and add more makeup.
I used a personal favourite base in Illamasqua Skin base as it gives great buildable coverage and it looks incredible in photographs. I kept the skin looking really luminous and glowing which is something I really like in makeup as it looks healthy and youthful.
I kept the eyes simple in the first look with a simple smoky eye using neutral tones from my Too Faced Neutral nudes palette.
For the lip I opted for a rose toned with mauve undertone lipstick from Natalie Grace Cosmetics in the shade Miss Mauve. It is my absolute favourite and go to shade for many of my brides.
Look 2
I changed the look slightly adding more blush and more highlight to the skin and warming it up
with some extra bronzer as the shoot was
heading inside so the makeup needed a little refresh and extra colour.
I also changed the lipstick and on this look I used something much brighter and impactful and for this second look I switched to the Natalie Grace Cosmetics lipstick in the shade Crush.
Look 3
The final look was something we decided on last minute and Julie from Red Rose Cakes said it would be really nice if we added some glamour to the final look and you do not have to tell me twice when it comes to doing something a little more extra.
I added some shimmer to the eyes and some thicker, fuller lashes with extra liner.
On the lip I added the best red lipstick ever, it is a beautiful shade and perfect because of the blue undertones, so it helps to make teeth appear whiter. I used the shade She's the Boss from Natalie Grace Cosmetics.
I love this final look, and red lipstick is certainly something a bride should consider because it is so elegant and timeless and looks incredible next to the white gown.
You may have noticed in all of the looks created I have used lipstick from one brand and it is small independent Makeup brand that specialises in lipstick and glosses with brides in mind and it is Natalie Grace Cosmetics and all my brides to be can get a discount of 10% on the final balance by using Cathryn10 at the checkout.
