Bridal Makeup at Highfield Hall, Flintshire – Natalie's Elegant North Wales Wedding

Back at the end of May, I had the absolute pleasure of providing bridal makeup in North Wales for Natalie's wedding at the beautiful Highfield Hall in Flintshire. It was the last weekend of the month, the sun was shining, and the whole morning had that perfect, calm energy that every makeup artist hopes for on a wedding day.

Natalie's wedding really stood out to me — not only because she's absolutely stunning, but because her brief was the perfect example of what we in the industry call a neutral makeup look. Now, that doesn't mean bare or minimal. This was carefully crafted skin, softly sculpted eyes, peachy tones, and the kind of makeup that looks effortless, but takes real technique to pull off.

As you'll see from the photos in this blog, Natalie's skin looked seamless, radiant, and completely timeless. She already has such a naturally beautiful face to work on, but on her wedding day, she just glowed.

A Bridal Party Full of Personality

Natalie comes from a big family — lots of sisters, each with their own individual style. One of her sisters had a more bohemian, alternative vibe, so I embraced that with a slightly different look. The rest of the bridal party went for soft glam makeup — glowing skin, gentle definition, and makeup that would last all day but still feel like themselves.

That's something I really pride myself on with my bridal makeup work across North Wales and Cheshire: understanding the brief, adapting to different preferences, and making sure everyone looks and feels their absolute best.

One detail I absolutely have to highlight is the incredible bouquet Natalie carried. The colours, the structure, the mix of bold and romantic blooms — it was just perfection. And the best part? The flowers were designed by her sister, who owns Rock and Meadow, a fabulous floral design company based right here in North Wales.

It always adds something extra special to a wedding when a family member is involved in the creative details, and these florals were nothing short of breath-taking.
