Elegance, timeless, simplicity
I have been a Bridal Makeup Artist covering North West England (Cheshire) and North Wales for over 15 years and I am so lucky to work on some of the most beautiful weddings and I get to work with the best brides to be. However I occasionally network with other suppliers in the industry and take part in styled shoots as these are opportunities to showcase skill and create new trends that will be seen by potential brides to be. They are great for Marketing all round.
This is a throwback to a shoot I was involved in back in 2018 at Hawkstone Hall in-between Shrewsbury and Whitchurch and this shoot was picking up on East meets West depicting the traditional ceremony in Persian culture called Sofreh Aghd the couple taste and eat foods that have significance to the marriage for example Honey to signify a sweet union.
They wanted my makeup for the first part of the shoot that was typically western in style with natural makeup and glowing skin with a minimal coverage of base.
It is a while ago but I do remember most of the products that I used on this shoot. I do have this strange memory of remembering every makeup product I use but ask me to remember a name and I am useless...
For the glowing skin I used Embryolisse Lait Creme concentrate and under the base I applied Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, it has been an absolute favourite of mine for years as a base, under base as a primer or on top of base to give a beautiful highlight without being too metallic.
For her base I wanted to use something that photographs amazingly and works with her olive skin tone and for this I used to have EX1 in my kit, and I used it on this shoot. Not sure why I do not still have it because it was a favourite but it was purely for olive and yellow tones so it was limited to how many I could use it on clients. However it is a wonderful base and it blends like a dream and you can build it up to the perfect desired coverage and even though a low price point it feels like a high end foundation.
On the eyes I used a slight shimmer and for this I used a shimmer shadow pot in Shade Jean, from Charlotte Tilbury.
I genuinely love a natural and glowing skin and it is something I am known for as a Makeup Artist and it is something I excel at doing.
The general styling on the early part of the shoot was very much something of pure luxury with a simple sheath dress with backless detail from Charlie Brear, it had no embellishments the tailoring and lines were the details it needed. Her hair was styled in a very effortless up do and in her details especially the shoes, she wore which were bow detail Jimmy Choos.
Flowers were exceptional and by Red Floral Architecture.

This was an incredible shoot and imagery I use on my advertising and branding because it has the feel and vibes that I love the most.
Grateful to Abigail Lucy who is a luxury wedding planner for putting this shoot together and Zehra Jagani for the imagery which is truly breath-takingly beautiful.
